california dreaming

*spent 10 days over the holidays between los angeles and chicago. ate at the most amazing hole-in-the-wall thai place in malibu (frequented by hillary swank), it's called cholada if you're ever in the hood. gawked at hot farm boys in chi-town over new years weekend.

**back in boston, GLAD has filed a lawsuit against the massachusetts attorney general, stating that the 120,000 name petition to redefine marriage in massachusetts via constitutional amendement, should not be accepted. GLAD notes that only the legistlature can propose an amendment to reverse a judicual decision. they'll be all up in arms down at the 1st church of hate-thy-neighbor.

***my city is becoming infested with millionaires. (see photo, courtesy boston.com) i don't knock them, i'm hoping to be one eventually. just scares me that there is a growing disparity between the haves and have-nots. our state government needs to create more tax incentives for start-ups and mid-sized companies to come back into town, keeping our work force fresh and innovative. boston will lose it's vibrance if everyone becomes a ceo.

****market sentiment seems predominantly bearish and the media is capitalizing on that. still staying long all large growth/value, dumped a couple small cap winners from last year.
